BLOODSTOCK METAL 2 THE MASSES IRELAND 2018 IS GO!

We’re back! Yes, folks, the Irish chapter of Bloodstock’s highly successful Metal 2 The Masses campaign is ready to get underway with band applications NOW OPEN! Get all the information right here! 

With another triumphant year for Irish metal coming to a close, Overdrive, Jetrocker Events and Mainstage Design.com have once again teamed up to bring you 2018’s official Bloodstock Metal 2 The Masses.

Following in the footsteps of some of Ireland’s most respected metal bands, Metal 2 The Masses Ireland are offering one band the opportunity to play at next years Bloodstock Open Air Festival in the UK alongside festival headliners Gojra, Judas Priest and Nightwish.

With an unlimited amount of potential available from performing at the festival, M2TM offers unsigned bands a highly respected slot at the UK’s most popular independent music event with the worlds metal media, A&R representatives and booking agents on hand to seek out the bands of the future. We are looking for all kinds of metal bands from all corners of the Irish Republic to step forward and show us what you got! There are only 35 slots available with a total of eleven events starting in January 2018 running up to the final on May 12th.

Heat 1 – Jan 20th
Heat 2 – Jan 27th
Heat 3 – Feb 17th
Heat 4 – Feb 24th
Heat 5 – Mar 3rd
Heat 6 – Mar 10th
Heat 7 – Mar 31st

Each heat will have five bands playing for the crowd and judges vote. All of these shows will be FREE ENTRY, and you can purchase your voting slip for €3 at the judge’s desk in front of the stage.

After all of the heats, we will select ONE wildcard to play in the last semi-final.

Semi Final – A – 7th April
Semi Final – B – 14th Apri
Semi Final – C – 28th April

Each semi-final will have five bands playing again for the crowd and judges vote. Each semi-final show will have an entry fee of €5, but this includes one voting slip.

Final May 12th

The final will be held on May 12th in Fibbers with all of the winning bands that were selected by the judges and who got the most crowd votes in the semifinals. This night will have 6 of Ireland top heavy metal bands all playing for the best chance to be selected to represent Ireland on the New Blood stage at the 2018 Bloodstock Open Air music festival alongside Judas Priest, Gojira and Nightwish with hundreds more to be announced!
